Alcone

Alcone was founded by Ralph Mantel in 1988, offering metal cone drivers at reasonable prices. All drivers feature exceptional signal adherence and excellent decay attenuation. The following Alcone drivers display an aluminium sandwich cone with a surface that has been hardened through anodising. The result is an enormously light and yet rigid cone, producing an airy and lifelike sound. - All resonance is being moved to a higher frequency band where the bass driver is not transmitting. To achieve these outstanding sound characteristics all Alcone midrange and bass drivers have

The cabinet volume calculations are executed considering an external resistance of 0.3 Ohm. We are using, if no other data is known or available, the information supplied by the manufacturer.

Please note: the frequency response doesn't say much about the cut-off frequency inside the cabinet! Therefore, we mostly give you 2 examples with dimensioning considerations and an indication, how low the loudspeaker will reproduce.
